From CDT staff reportsApril 25, 2014

— Penn State added two more men to its recruiting class this week, including its first European addition and another from a non-traditional source for hockey talent.

Defenseman Erik Autio of Espoo, Finland, and Scott Conway of England and Kissimmee, Fla., officially gave their commitments to the Nittany Lions during the spring signing period.

The 5-foot-10 Autio has played for the Finnish national program for his age group for a number of years, helping the Fins to a bronze medal at the 2013 International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 World Championship in Sochi, Russia.

Conway is originally from England, and has dual citizenship both there and in Canada. He was second in the USHL with 33 goals, fourth with 68 points and tied for the lead with a plus-40 in plus-minus while playing for the Indiana Ice.
