High school softball: Philipsburg-Osceola suffers first loss of year

— Philipsburg-Osceola suffered its first loss of the season as the Lady Mounties dropped a 5-1 decision to DuBois on Monday.

Leading 1-0, DuBois took control with three runs in the second inning. P-O committed four errors, which led to four unearned runs.

Kenzie Burge has two hits for the Lady Mounties (10-1), who were without shortstop Abby Showers. McKendz Kephart drove in the lone run in the seventh.

Shelbie Jamison had two hits and drove in two for the Lady Beavers.

Raechel Henry threw a five-hitter for DuBois.
