April 30, 2014

— After an exhausting weekend at the State College Invitational, the Little Lions boys’ volleyball team bounced back and beat Central Dauphin 3-1 (25-19, 25-23, 23-25, 25-23) on Tuesday.

“You’re always in danger of a letdown in play,” State College coach Kim-Li Kimel said. “But we did really well top to bottom.”

Deniz Demirci recorded a team-high 12 kills and four aces to lead State College (5-6). Andrew Groves had 10 kills, four aces and 24 assists, and Parker Thompson led the Little Lions with 41 digs. Tyler Snyder notched nine kills, and Noah Christie had 16 assists in the win over the Rams (7-2).

“This was a really important win for us,” Kimel said.
