Two Bellefonte men were charged Friday after reportedly threatening a state police officer.

State police at Rockview said Sean W. Parker, 36, and Travis D. Weaver, 21, were charged with attempted aggravated assault on law enforcement.

The police report said that around 6:10 p.m. Friday, the two were walking a dog down Route 26 in Marion Township and disrupting traffic.

The men then reportedly trespassed into a posted and fenced area of the Hanson Jacksonville Quarry.

Upon police arrival, the men attempted to flee into a wooded area inside quarry grounds, but were captured by police, the report said.

While being placed in custody, Parker allegedly instructed his dog to attack a trooper, while Weaver made threats to the trooper.

Both men were taken to the Centre County Correctional Facility.

Parker’s bail was set at $50,000 bail, and Weaver’s bail was set at $10,000, the police report said.
