High school baseball: Bald Eagle Area rides big inning to beat Altoona

— Bald Eagle Area scored five runs in the first inning and rolled to a 7-2 win over Altoona on Monday.

Jeff Bennett pitched a complete game, allowing two runs in the third inning to get the win. Bennett struck out six and walked two.

Bryce Greene went 3-for-4 and scored two runs, while Jason Jones and Ryan Guenot each had two hits for the Eagles (9-4).

Ryan Dyke had an RBI single, and Jones had a two-run single in BEA’s five-run first.
