High school baseball: Punxsutawney too much for Philipsburg-Osceola

— Philipsburg-Osceola was down one run going into the fifth inning, but Punsxutawney’s bats came alive in a 12-3 victory on Monday.

The Mounties (3-9) gave up a six runs in the top of the fifth inning. Logan Williamson had three of P-O’s seven hits and suffered the loss on the mound.

Derek Shaw had the lone RBI for the Mounties.

Braxton Giavedoni did most of the damage for the Chucks, going 3 for 4 and driving in two runs. Clayton Dale also had two RBIs for Punxsutawney.
