High school baseball: Bald Eagle Area rallies from 10 down for huge win

From CDT staff reportsMay 7, 2014

— Bald Eagle Area spotted Tyrone 10 runs in the first two innings before erupting for a major comeback with a 20-10 Mountain League baseball win Tuesday.

Every BEA starter had at least one hit, led by 3 for 5 efforts from Ryan Dyke and Ryan Guenot, with four RBIs for Guenot and three from Jordan Kobularcik. Those three Eagles and Tyler Schall each had a double in the win.

“We didn’t pack it in,” BEA (10-4) coach Jim Gardner said. “We started to scratch away, and once we started we didn’t let up.”

After a rough start by Colton Comley, Otis Statham came on in relief, shut down Tyrone and earned the win.
