High school softball: Penns Valley hammers Tyrone

— Penns Valley pitchers Emma Kubalak and Harley Hess combined for a no-hitter as the Lady Rams softball team cruised to a 15-0 win over Tyrone in three innings Thursday.

Each pitcher struck out two and walked one in the combined gem.

Penns Valley (7-9) scored eight runs in the first inning and added seven in the second. Courtney Ironside went 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs to lead a balanced effort for the Lady Rams.

Kubalak, Ashley Struble, Mikenna Lyons and Tangie Lyons each drove in two runs for Penns Valley.
