High school baseball: Big inning powers Penns Valley to victory over Tyrone

— Penns Valley scored five runs in the second inning to build an insurmountable lead in a 10-6 win over Tyrone on Thursday.

Wyatt Sharp went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBIs, and Colton Treaster went 2-for-2 with a solo home run to lead the Rams (7-9). Taylor Collison went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBIs, and Anthony Montresor finished 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs.

Sharp hit a three-run homer in the first to give Penns Valley a 3-0 lead. Tyrone answered with three runs in the bottom half before the Rams scored five runs on four hits in the second to take control for good.
