State police are investigating a two-car crash in Decatur Township, Clearfield County, that killed a Philipsburg man.

According to police, Joshuah Kline, 25, died after the car he was driving on state Route 53 struck the rear of another northbound vehicle, left the road and hit a tree. Kline was pronounced dead at the scene by Clearfield County Coroner Michael Morris.

Cody Golding, 22, of Munson, and John Phelan, 23, of Philipsburg, both passengers in Kline’s car, were injured and taken to UPMC Altoona Hospital, police said. Golding was flown by helicopter.

The driver of the second car, Wesley McMasters, 23, of Patton, was riding alone and pushed by the collision into the oncoming lane before his car came to rest on a berm, police said. He also was taken to UPMC Altoona.

Information about injuries was not available.

Neither Kline nor his passengers were wearing seatbelts, police said. Police did not know whether McMasters was wearing his seatbelt.
