High school baseball: State College falls to Greencastle-Antrim in Mid Penn semifinals

May 15, 2014

— State College couldn’t solve Greencastle-Antrim pitcher Myles Gayman in the Little Lions’ 5-1 loss in the Mid Penn Conference baseball semifinals on Wednesday.

“We never really got adjusted to him,” State College coach Bill Tussey said. “He threw a nice game.”

Gayman limited State College (14-5) to one run on seven hits in a complete game. The Blue Devils scored twice in the top of the first and led 3-1 after two innings. Jake Crist drove in two runs for Greencastle-Antrim.

Derek Van Horn had a double and triple to lead State College. Calvin Sichler drove in the Little Lions’ lone run.
