Corbett to attend Boalsburg Memorial Day activities

— Gov. Tom Corbett will attend the 150th Memorial Day commemoration Monday in Boalsburg, according to a news release.

The day’s events begin at 8 a.m. with a “Day on the Towne” and will include the annual procession from the town’s main square to the Diamond.

Corbett will speak at the formal ceremony that begins at 6 p.m. U.S. Rep. Glenn Thompson and state Rep. Kerry Benninghoff also will attend.

The ceremony will also include the 46th Pennsylvania Regiment Civil War Band, The Air National Guard of the North East, the 553rd Air Force Band and The State College Choral Society.
