Huntingdon man killed in Clinton County crash

From CDT staff reportsMay 30, 2014

A Huntingdon man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Clinton County.

A 17-year-old Lock Haven boy had stopped his Jeep Commander along Fairground Road facing U.S. Route 220 in Lamar Township at about 3:35 p.m. He was waiting for traffic to clear so he could travel through the intersection and onto Auction Road. He dove straight across Route 220 and struck a Suzuki Intruder 400 being driven by Bert McBrayer, 69.

The Intruder traveled a short distance before ending up on its side. McBrayer was ejected from the motorcycle and landed on the shoulder of Auction Road. He was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene by Clinton County Coroner Zack Hanna.

Neither the driver nor his passenger, Kodie Groff, 18, of Lock Haven, was injured.
