Fight in moving car endangers others in Marion Township

A fight in a moving car led to a dangerous situation Saturday night.

According to state police at Rockview, the incident occurred on Jacksonville Road in Marion Township around 8:41 p.m.

A 60-year-old man was driving a vehicle with four passengers, all from Bellefonte. A 29-year-old man sitting behind the driver grabbed him around the neck, causing the vehicle to swerve into oncoming traffic, according to police.

The driver stopped the vehicle. Then the alleged perpetrator and a 35-year-old man got out of the vehicle and “engaged in a violent behavior,” according to the police report. Police said that behavior included screaming, yelling and threats.

Other passengers included a 40-year-old man, and a 2-year-old boy.

No information on charges, pending or filed, were available.
