State College residents injured when neighbor’s dog breaks into home

June 9, 2014

A local home invasion Saturday had an unusual culprit.

State College police said that a residence at 306 Ridge Ave. was the scene. Around 6:21 p.m., a neighbor’s dog staged the attack, breaking through the home’s storm door.

The invading pooch then proceeded to attack the resident dog. During the course of the incident, two human residents of the home were also injured. One resident was bitten on the hand. The other was hurt while trying to pull the attacking dog off of his pet.

Police said the incident is being handled jointly with the borough’s ordinance enforcement office.
