Shingletown Road closed hours after crash

— A local road remains closed after a morning crash that took down a utility pole.

According to State College police, the incident occurred at about 9:30 a.m. on state Route 45, Shingletown Road, near Hess Road, when a woman lost control of her vehicle and struck a utility pole.

Police say she suffered moderate injuries. An investigation is continuing.

PennDOT and West Penn Power are on the scene and work is expected to continue for up to two hours. The accident was between Woodside Drive and West Branch Road.

Traffic is being rerouted.
