Man crashes stolen car, flees in Rush Township

Police are looking for a “tall and skinny” man who crashed a stolen car into a tree in Rush Township and left the scene.

State police at Philipsburg said the man took a blue 1998 Chevrolet Blazer from a Logan Street backyard and crashed it into a large oak tree in front of 288 Coaldale Road. The crash occurred about 2 a.m. Sunday but was not reported until about 6:30 a.m.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 342-3370.
