Letter to the editor | Penn State board of trustees meeting important

June 19, 2014

A very important meeting is scheduled for July 11, which affects all Penn State alumni and supporters. The university’s board of trustees will meet at the Schuylkill campus to elect a new chairman and vice-chairman of the board’s executive committee.

The time has come to elect one of the newer alumni-elected trustees to these critical leadership positions on the board. Trustees Oldsey, Lubrano, Taliaferro, McCombie, Doran, Brown, Jubelirer, Pope or Lord would all qualify for these positions.

I urge you to contact your friends on the board to effectuate positive change and real reform by electing new leadership of our great university.
