American Legion baseball: Bellefonte cruises past Summerville, W. Va. in five innings

— Bellefonte took advantage of 10 walks and four errors in its 16-3, 5 inning rout of Summerville, W. Va. of the Hillbilly Hardball Classic on Friday.

Summerville’s Devin Kerman walked 10 Bandits in the first two innings as Bellefonte raced out to an 8-0 lead after two innings. After three innings of play, the Bandits held a 13-1 lead and didn’t look back.

Ryan McElwee, Adam Kuhn and Gerhig Shuster each drove in two runs apiece for Bellefonte. Kuhn finished the game with three singles.

Ethan Amick hit a home run for Summerville.
