Penn State sports: Ability athletes, Rohn and Markle, place at U.S. Paralympics Track and Field National Championships

— Penn State Ability athlete Max Rohn placed second in the discus at the U.S. Paralympics Track and Field National Championships Saturday at the College of San Mateo.

Rohn, a Boalsburg native, had a throw of 149 feet, 10 inches. On Friday, Rohn, who competes in the Class 44 level for below-the-knee amputees, won the javelin.

Bald Eagle Area alum Curtis Markle, competing in Class 55 (seated throwers), placed third in the discus with a toss of 48 feet, 9 inches.
