Centre County Baseball League: Lemont sinks Pleasant Gap on one-hitter

— Tyler Yazujian fired a one-hitter as Lemont knocked off Pleasant Gap 4-1 in Centre County Baseball League action on Monday at Governor’s Park.

Yazujian did not allow a hit until Gehrig Schuster singled in the fifth for the Peppers (7-8). Yazujian finished having faced just two batters of the minimum.

The Ducks (5-7) got Yazujian all the runs he would need with three in the top of the first. Two hit batters helped load the bases for Jason Costa, who smacked a two-run single.

Lemont added a run in the fifth as Trey Nicosia singled and came around to score on Yazujian’s RBI single.

Nicosia (double), Yazujian and Zach Moerschbacher each had two hits for the Ducks.
