American Legion baseball: State College tops Clarence

— Kenny Craig got out of a bases-loaded jam in the seventh inning as State College edged Clarence 6-5 on Wednesday.

Clarence scored twice in the bottom of the seventh before Craig got a comebacker to the mound to halt the rally.

With the score tied at 3-3, State College (11-7) took the lead with a three-run fourth. Zach Ripka smacked a two-run single and Sam Plafcan added a RBI single in the outburst.

Craig led State College’s 15-hit attack with three singles. Calvin Sichler belted two doubles and Ripka added two singles.
