County League baseball: Philipsburg stops Spring Mills

— Jake Belinda tossed a five-hitter and struck out 10 as Philipsburg rallied for a 5-3 win against Spring Mills on Wednesday.

The Spike Island Pirates (12-3) trailed 2-1 until a three-run fourth inning. Aaron Lidgett’s two-run triple highlighted the outburst.

Belinda (2-0) walked four and allowed just two earned runs. Brandon Myers smacked a solo homer in the second inning and added a double. Drew Bryan had two singles and stole three bases.

Cody Young belted a solo homer in the seventh for the Braves. Mike Vogt added a RBI double.
