Penn State men’s basketball: Nittany Lions’ Newbill invited to James’ camp

July 3, 2014

— Penn State guard D.J. Newbill was invited to the LeBron James Skills Academy, a four-day event for the country’s top 30 college and top 80 high school players that begins July 9 in Las Vegas.

Newbill, who led Penn State in scoring last season with 17.8 points per game, received the invitation Wednesday. The invite comes after he participated at the Kevin Durant Skills Academy last weekend.

“I am looking forward to the challenge of playing with and against the best players in the country,” Newbill said in a press release. “This camp can only help me get better.”
