Bridge replacement set for next week in Walker Township

— Work to replace the Forest Avenue bridge on state Route 1005 will start Monday, according to a news release from the state Department of Transportation.

The bridge, which spans Nittany Creek on Route 1005 in Walker Township about 1.5 miles north of the intersection with state Route 550, will be closed and a detour will be in place. Work is scheduled to last until early August.
