Broad Top City woman dies in Huntingdon County crash

A 35-year-old woman from Broad Top City died Monday after a crash in Union Township, Huntingdon County.

According to state police at Huntingdon, the crash happened around 5:25 p.m. The woman was driving a 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada north on Trough Creek Valley Pike when she lost control for an unknown reason, traveling into the southbound lane and eventually off the road, striking an embankment. The car flipped end over end until it came to rest.

The driver was not wearing her seatbelt and died at the scene, police said. Three juvenile passengers were wearing their seatbelts. A 13-year-old boy, 11-year-old girl and 9-year-old girl sustained moderate injuries, police said.
