Companies aiding in search for woman who jumped from moving vehicle

From CDT staff reportsJuly 9, 2014

With the search for Susan Bachman, 37, of Julian, in its fifth day, her family has had two partners join the hunt.

According to Bachman’s brother, Will, Travel Centers of America has agreed to publicize the search, placing posters with the missing woman’s picture throughout its locations in Pennsylvania and surrounding states.

Jack Cooper Transport, a transporter of light vehicles, also has agreed to post the fliers throughout its depots, so that all of its drivers will be aware of the search.

Bachman disappeared Friday morning when she jumped from a moving car between DuBois and Clarion. She was being taken to Clarion Psychiatric Center by her parents for treatment.

Searches have been conducted on a daily basis since she ran into the woods off Interstate 80, jumped a fence and disappeared. State police have been joined by local rescue groups, volunteers and bloodhounds.

The family set up a website, www.findsusanbachman.com, which has received thousands of hits since going live.
