Police seek cellphone thief from grocery checkout line

Ferguson Township police are investigating a theft at Giant in the Northland Center off North Atherton Sreet.

Between 2:30 and 3 p.m., police say, the victim placed her cellphone on the register and an unknown male took the phone.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-20s, about 5-foot-10, with tattoos on both of his arms from his wrist to his elbows. He has short, light brown hair and a light beard.

The suspect was pushing a stroller carrying a very young child before getting into a light blue minivan.

Police ask that anyone with information call 237-1172.
