UPDATE: Trio apprehended in Port Matilda burglary spree

Charges are pending against a 40-year-old woman and 19-year-old man, both of Philipsburg, and a 15-year-old Port Matilda boy in connection with a burglary spree overnight Friday into Saturday in Port Matilda.

State police at Philipsburg said the trio broke into several sheds and stole gasoline. They also broke into two churches and two concession stands.

Police said Sunday that all three people have been apprehended and interviewed. The woman was placed in Centre County prison on a probation violation, while the 19-year-old was also taken to prison on an outstanding warrant. The boy was released to his parents.

Police said they stole items including gasoline, candy and cash. The total loss has not been determined, police said.
