Coburn bridge work to finish this week

From CDT staff reportsJuly 13, 2014

Work to replace a structurally deficient bridge on Woodward Cave Road near Coburn is expected to finish by the end of the day Wednesday, the state Department of Transportation said.

Weather permitting, paving and guide rail work will be complete Wednesday and a detour that has been in place since June will be lifted.

The bridge spans a tributary of Pine Creek just east of Coburn in Penn Township. An average of 125 vehicles cross the bridge each day.
