Penn State football: Lift for Life passed $140K

— Penn State’s Lift For Life campaign has surpassed the $140,000 mark for this year in fund-raising efforts for the Kidney Cancer Association.

The amount is a single-year record for the event, run by members of the Nittany Lion football team.

It brings the overall total raised to $992,565 since its begining in 2003. Linebacker Ben Kline, the Uplifting Athletes president, has set a goal to surpass $1 million by the end of 2014.
