American Legion baseball: Bellefonte keeps season, Central Penn League playoffs alive

— Taylor Smith started and Noah Perryman finished a two-hitter for Bellefonte as it advanced to the Central Penn League semifinals in American Legion baseball action on Monday.

The Bandits defeated Clearfield 8-2 over two days as the game got suspended in the third inning by rain on Sunday.

Smith gave up two hits and struck out three in three innings of work. Perryman finished the game with seven strikeouts.

Dan Roan provided some offense for Bellefonte with two hits and driving in two runs. Zach Musser also had two hits for the Bandits.

Sawyer Rowles and Thomas Summers had the Clearfield hits.
