Altercation leads to harassment charges

Heritage Days fireworks sparked an altercation between two men in the Moshannon Valley on Saturday.

State police at Philipsburg said the incident happened at about 7:40 p.m., when Donald Hazel, 64, of Allport, and Eric Dillon, 31, of Chester Hill, got into a verbal altercation in the Cold Stream Dam parking lot over Hazel’s “erratic driving.” The incident escalated to a physical altercation.

Hazel was cited for harassment and disorderly conduct.
