Penn State women’s soccer: National rosters have Nittany Lion representation

Penn State has four current or future Nittany Lions set for rosters of various national programs.

Sophomore Brittany Basinger and incoming freshman Rose Chandler are training at a two-week camp with the U.S. under-20 team, the final preparations before the 21-woman roster is set for the FIFA U-20 World Cup. The World Cup will be held in Canada from Aug. 5-24.

Nittany Lions head coach Erica Walsh is an assistant coach with the U.S. under-20 team.

Also, incoming freshman Emily Ogle is training with the U.S. under-18 team, which helps identify possible future members of the U.20 team for 2016.

In addition, junior Raquel Rodriguez is training with the Costa Rican senior national team as it prepares for the 2015 FIFA World Cup in Canada.
