Penn State rated 46th best university in world ranking

From CDT staff reportsJuly 16, 2014

Penn State placed in the top 50 in a worldwide ranking of universities that was published Wednesday.

The university was ranked 46th in the list compiled by the Center for World University Rankings, which bills itself as the “the only global university ranking that measures the quality of education and training of students as well as the prestige of the faculty members and the quality of their research without relying on surveys and university data submissions.”

It’s the third consecutive year Penn State advanced its placement on the list, the university said in a statement.

Penn State came in 29th among all U.S. colleges and universities.
