From CDT staff reportsJuly 17, 2014

State College police conducted a special enforcement detail on Mount Nittany Expressway on Thursday morning called “Steer Clear or Move Over.”

Lt. Chris Fishel said the initiative was meant to reinforce for drivers the importance of getting out of the way of emergency vehicles and moving over to avoid disabled or stopped vehicles.

Fishel said 15 people were cited for speeding during the program. Seven received “Steer Clear” citations, and four were given warnings.
