The Bald Eagle Area softball team will walk onto a familiar field as it tries to take the final step in returning to the state championship game.
The Lady Eagles (22-3) will meet Riverside (20-1) in the PIAA Class AA semifinals at 4 p.m. Monday at Hollidaysburg’s Legion Park, where BEA captured the District 6 last week.
The Lady Eagles beat Sto-Rox 7-0 in Thursday’s quarterfinals while District 7 champion Riverside bested Greensburg Central Catholic 5-0. Brandywine Heights and Central Columbia will meet in the other semifinal at 2 p.m. Monday at Kings College in Wilkes-Barre.
Monday’s winners advance to the state championship at Shippensburg on Friday.
