PHILIPSBURG — Bellefonte's Kristin Buchanan scored two goals Monday to help the Lady Red Raider soccer team topple Philipsburg-Osceola 4-1.
Buchanan broke open a 1-1 tie midway through the first half with two goals before halftime and a 3-1 Lady Raider advantage.
Abby Newman’sgoal put the game out of reach in the 72nd minute for Bellefonte (6-1).
Annetta Czar tied the game at 1-1 for the Lady Mounties at 15:47 after Angela Davies opened the game’s scoring just 7:13 into the contest.
Grace Prep bounces DuBois Christian
STATE COLLEGE — Grace Prep accumulated 22 shots while earning a 2-0 decision over DuBois Christian on Monday.
Sam Bohlman and Caitlin Crable each tallied second half goals for Grace Prep (3-3) with Meagan Fox grabbing 10 saves in goal.

Bellefonte tops P-O
BELLEFONTE — Trailing by a goal midway through the first half, Bellefonte responded by scoring four unanswered goals the rest of the way to defeat Philipsburg-Osceola 5-2 Monday.
Bellefonte’s Landon Ward tied the game at 2-2 with a goal in the 30th minute. Brandon Richard's followed with a goal four minutes later for a 3-2 Red Raider lead at the half.Ty Hilland Richards each tallied second-half goals.
“We fell behind and the guys responded,” said Bellefonte coach Scott Martz. “We had so many opportunities. We had a lot of one-on-ones but their keeper (Josh Cowher) did an awesome job stopping them.”
Kyle Proskovich put the Red Raiders up 1-0 with a goal just 1:08 into the game. P-O’s Alex Boumerhi and Greg Kojadinovich responded with a goal each to give the Mounties their only lead of the game.
Grace Prep earns shutout
STATE COLLEGE — Three different players scored two goals Monday as Grace Prep blanked DuBois Christian 7-0.
Jon Rothgeb, Davis StreitanD Smith Paul each scored twice as Paul scored both of his goals in the first half and Grace Prep (5-1) jumped out to a 3-0 lead at halftime.
Lathom Thompson and Streit combined for five saves while earning the shutout in goal.

State College outlasts Indian Valley in OT
STATE COLLEGE — Amanda Dinunzio finished with two goals, including netting a State College goal in overtime Monday as the Lady Little Lions edged Indian Valley 3-2.
Indian Valley needed two second-half goals to force overtime before Hannah Zavacky assisted Dinunzio for the game-winner.
State College’s Helen Correll scored off a Dinunzio assist at 10:39 of the first half with Dinunzio scoring her second goal with 21:00 left in regulation to give the Lady Little Lions (6-1) a 2-1 lead.
GIRL'S VOLLEYBALL
State College drops DuBois
STATE COLLEGE — State College earned a 25-9, 25-16, 25-16 victory over DuBois on Monday.
Leading the Lady Little Lions were Shannon Traurig with 13 digs, Kristin Gibble with 10 assists, Megan Bland with seven kills and Alli Fleagle with five aces. Lauren Hester totaled nine digs and six kills, Liz Novack had nine digs and Fleagle added eight assists.
BOY'S GOLF
State College third at Wheeling invite
WHEELING, W. Va. — State College finished with a 36-hole team score of 670 Monday to finish third out of 13 schools at the Wheeling Invitational.
District 6 rival Hollidaysburg won the event with a score of 627 while Laurel Highland’s Conference representative Westmont Hilltop was second.
Cody Moore tied for sixth to lead State College with a total of 78-75—153. Adam Herrington tied for 16th with rounds of 83-79—162 and Nate Fry shot 82-84—166 to finish 20th.
Tyrone’s Jimmy Ferguson shot back-to-back rounds of 71 to finish first overall out of 61 players.
