BEA finishes off Central in five
MARTINSBURG — Bald Eagle Area dropped its first game Monday but responded to win three of the next four en route to getting past Central 22-25, 25-14, 25-18, 24-26, 15-13.
Cortney Switzer led a strong defensive effort for the Lady Eagles (3-0) with 25 digs while Kelsey Shaw paced the offense with 30 assists. Nicole Reese (12), Katelyn Miller (9) and Kendra Fetzer (8) each led BEA in kills with Miller and Fetzer each adding three blocks. Kayla Confer added seven digs and two aces.
Bellefonte aces Tyrone
TYRONE — Bellefonte served up 25 aces in cruising past Tyrone 25-7, 25-12, 25-9 Monday.
Maia Kowalchuk led the service success with six aces while Mandy Robbins and Jerrica Harvey each had five. Jena Matter led the offense with nine kills and Robbins added five, Emily Putnam gave out 18 assists and Kowalchuk posted five digs.

Little Lions earn shutout
LEWISTOWN — Amanda Dinunzio and Rebecca Grande each scored two goals Monday as State College dropped Lewistown 5-0.
Nadia Lehtihet also scored for State College (3-1) with Dinunzio and Kaitlyn Mejia each adding an assist.

Eagles earn road win
BURNHAM — Goalie Josh Snyder stopped 16 shots, including one off a corner kick with 10 seconds remaining, to help Bald Eagle Area defeat Indian Valley 3-2 Monday.
The victory was the Eagles’ first regular-season triumph over the Warriors in coach Jason Bair’s 10-year tenure.
“When we got into the huddle after the game, I said, ‘Guys, I don’t know what to tell you. I have never beaten Indian Valley,” Bair said.
The Eagles (3-2) scored the first three goals. Josh Schall had the only goal of the first half in the 15th minute. Danny Styles increased the lead to 2-0 by scoring in the 48th minute and Brian Robison, who assisted on the first two goals, added a goal of his own in the 53rd minute.
The Warriors scored both of their goals during a 1-minute, 25-second stretch after Robison's tally.
Bearcats drop Mounties
PHILIPSBURG — Philipsburg-Osceola rallied from two goals down, only to see Huntingdon spoil the day with a 3-2 Bearcat win Monday, the third one-goal loss in as many games for the Mounties.
Josh Wolfe and Ben Lang scored first-half goals for Huntingdon, but P-O came back with Karl Gassmann finding the net from Derek Diehl and Alex Boumerhi converted on a penalty kick 1:54 later.
Prior to the penalty kick, the Bearcat keeper was given a red card for rough play, so Huntingdon had to play a man down the rest of the match. Just 1:21 later, however, the Bearcats got the winner from Leon Ziemer.

State College blanks DuBois
DUBOIS — State College posted its third straight shutout, dominating DuBois 6-0 Monday.
Paige Frye led the offense with two goals and an assist while single goals came from Kelsey Graham, Lauren Eck, Jamie Glass and Rita Gates. Hanna Mincemoyer and Kelsey and Katelyn Gill each picked up assists. This season, 10 different Lady Little Lions have scored the team’s 13 goals.
Sarah Sallade, Ginger Woolridge and Ana Ross combined on the shutout. The Lady Little Lions have not allowed a goal in over 320 minutes, dating back to an early goal surrendered to Mercyhurst in a season-opening overtime victory.
Huntingdon ousts Philipsburg-Osceola
HUNTINGDON — Huntingdon took an early two-goal lead in the first half while topping Philipsburg- Osceola 3-1 Monday.
Huntingdon scored twice in the first 10 minutes for a quick 2-0 lead before P-O's Kristen Kojadinovich answered with a goal in the 11th minute off an Annetta Czar assist.
