The skinny:The strength of the Rams this season will be the middle-and long-distance runners, including Matt Brooker, who was eighth in the 3,200 meters last spring in the PIAA Championships, and Evan Gover, who ran on the 4x800 relay at the PIAA meet. ... The team also features runners from the District 6 champion cross country team in Brooker, Peter Kistler, Will Lush, Ryan Brown and Matt Fuller. Brown and Fuller are freshmen and Lush is a sophomore. ... Brooker and Kistler finished 1-2 in the district 3,200 race. ... Freshman Andrew Seeley also should help distance team. ... McCade Lynch is expected to lead sprints and jumps. ... John Ventura and Noah Meyers lead in throws. ... Nick Engle, Gary Schwier and Hobart Kistler show promise in hurdles, but hurdlers and pole vaulters will be new, with many athletes still trying the events. ... Roster is small, with fewer than 30 athletes expected to compete.
