PUNXSUTAWNEY — State College scored runs in six of seven innings, including a six-run sixth, to beat Punxsutwaney 17-9 on Friday.
“We put the bat on the ball, scored a bunch of runs,” State College coach Bill Tussey said. “We were a little disappointed with our defense, but happy to get home with the win.”
Will Pryorwas 3-for-5 with a homer and five RBIs for the Little Lions (6-1), who also received multi-hit performances from Scott Glass, Alec McGlaughlin and winning pitcherRyan Blaschak(2-0), who scattered five runs over five innings.
State College hosts Chambersburg at 1 p.m. today.
Indian Valley takes two from BEA
WINGATE — Bald Eagle Area fell twice to Indian Valley on Friday, losing 9-6 in the regularly scheduled game after falling 10-9 in 10th inning of the completion of a suspended game.

Indian Valley strung together five consecutive hits, the final a two-run homer by Jesse Yoder, and scored seven runs in the fifth.
Jabco led the Eagles’ 10-hit attack with three hits.
The two teams also completed the suspended game, which was tied 9-9 after eight innings. Cody Keane’s RBI single plated the winning run.
BEA began the week 4-1, but finished it 4-5 after also falling to Bellefonte and Central Mountain.
Wildcats outslug Mounties
PHILIPSBURG — Central Mountain tagged Philipsburg- Osceola starterLuke Curtisfor 13 runs in the first four innings and held on for a 13-11 win Friday.
Four Mountie errors didn’t help Curtis’ cause; only six of his runs were earned.
“You play a good team and give them extra outs, it’s going to come back to haunt you,” P-O coach Doug Sankey said.
Brandon Myersled the Mounties (5-5) at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs scored, a home run and four RBIs.Storm Bumbarger,who pitched three scoreless inning of relief, was 2- for-4 with three runs batted in.
Red Raiders slam Central
BELLEFONTE —Jordan Schainholz’third-inning grand slam led Bellefonte to a 10-7 win over Central.
Matt Watsonadded a two-run double andFrank Parkeswas 2-of-3 for the Red Raiders (8-2).
Cole McClarren(4-1) picked up the win for Bellefonte and Robert Gummopitched three scoreless innings to record the save.

Penns Valley tops Indian Valley
BURNHAM —Rachel Myerstossed six-hitter as Penns Valley turned back Indian Valley 3-1 Friday.
Myers struck out 11 and walked two as the Lady Rams (6- 2) won their third straight. Kasey Packersingled in a run in the first and Myers added an RBI single in the third. Packer led the Lady Rams, who knocked off unbeaten Central Mountain on Thursday, with two hits.
Dani Treaster tossed a six-hitter for the Lady Warriors.
“Coming off emotional win, my fear was that we would be flat. We weren’t, but (Treaster) pitched very well. ... We did what we had to do to win the game and Rachel threw well again.”
Punxsutawney tops State College
STATE COLLEGE — Unbeaten Punxsutawney took advantage of four State College errors to knock off the Lady Little Lions 5-3 at Community Fields on Friday.
Angie Berk tossed a seven-hitter and smacked three hits for Lady Chucks (7-0).
Kirsten Glantzhad a part in all of State College’s scoring. Glantz doubled and scored on Carly Reeder’ssingle in the fourth and drove in two runs with a triple in the fifth.
Shelby Kline(1-1) allowed eight hits and struck out three for the Lady Little Lions (5-2), who play at the Lower Dauphin Tournament today.
Lady Mounties get past Wildcats
CENTRAL MOUNTAIN— Philipsburg-Osceola stayed perfect on the season with a 5-3 win over Taylor Lesser and Central Mountain on Friday.
Winning pitcherKelsey Gonderwas 3-for-4 with a pair of runs scored out of the leadoff spot for the Lady Mounties (10-0), who also got a pair of RBIs and a triple fromChasity Myers.
Gonder allowed three runs and three hits over seven innings, striking out nine. Lesser gave up eight hits and all five runs over five innings, walking one and striking out four.
