ERIE —The State College High School girls’ lacrosse team fell to McDowell 9-8 in double overtime on Saturday.
Sandra Cannon, Becca Wagner, Emma Stevenson and Tiffany Card each scored two goals for the Lady Little Lions (6-6).
Chelsea Wendle had two goals for McDowell and netted the game winner with 52 seconds remaining in the second overtime.
State College led 6-5 at halftime and went ahead 8-6 with six minutes left. McDowell scored 11 seconds later and added another with four minutes to go in regulation.
Kate Small had a season-high game 21 saves for the Lady Little Lions, who are at Lewisburg on Tuesday (5:30 p.m.)
