Big Ten leads in Alamo Bowl matchups

The Big Ten leads the Big 12 in their annual Alamo Bowl matchup, 7-5.

The Big 12 has won two consecutive games in San Antonio: Texas beat Iowa 26-24 last year, and Nebraska beat Michigan 32-28 in 2005.

Penn State won its only trip in 1999 by 24-0 over Texas A&M.

Other Big Ten winners were Ohio State in 2004, Wisconsin in 2002, Iowa in 2001 and 1996, and Purdue in 1998 and 1997.
