Accidental Damage A staff member reported the windshield of his privately owned vehicle was damaged by unknown means. The incident occurred between 0800 hours and 1700 hours, 6 October 2009, while the vehicle was parked in Lot Stadium West. The value of damage is undetermined at this time. Accidental Damage

A Transportation Services staff member reported windblown debris had damaged several vehicles parked in Lot Jordan East. The total value of damage is undetermined at this time. Investigation by PSO Aschenbrenner.

A staff member reported the theft of a laptop computer from Whitmore Laboratory. Investigation by PSO Clouse.

Accidental Damage

A staff member reported a tree limb had fallen and damaged her privately owned vehicle while it was parked in Lot 44. No injuries were reported and damage was light to the vehicle. Investigation by PSO Peters.

Unsecured Property

A Parking Enforcement worker reported a vehicle was unsecured in the Eisenhower Parking Deck. The vehicle was secured and the owner was notified. Investigation by PSO Ciambotti.

Theft

A student reported the theft of her unsecured bicycle from a bicycle rack from Willard Building. The theft occurred between 1 October 2009 and 2 October 2009. Value of the theft is $150.00. Investigation by PSO Ciambotti.

Health and Safety

University Police personnel assisted the University Ambulance Service with a visitor who was having a medical emergency at Pasquerilla Spiritual Center Building. The visitor was transported by University Ambulance Service to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment. Investigation by PSO Peters.

Harassment

A staff member reported two students were having a verbal altercation in the Pattee Library. The students were identified and released. Investigation by PSO Peters.

Vehicle Crash

A student reported a vehicle crash occurred between two privately owned vehicles in Stadium West Parking Lot. No injuries were reported and damage was light to both vehicles. Investigation by PSO Aschenbrenner.

Theft

A student reported the theft of her wallet, keys and cellular telephone from a locker at Rec Hall. The incident occurred between 1620 hours and 1700 hours, today. The items were located and it was determined the items had not been stolen. Investigation by PSO Rider.

Drug Law Violation

An East Halls Resident Assistant reported the odor of burning marijuana coming from a residence hall room located on the first floor of Sproul Hall. The odor had dissipated and the room could not be identified. Investigation by PSO Thomas.

Drug Law

A Resident Assistant at McKean Hall reported the odor of burning marijuana coming from a room. The odor had dissipated when officers arrived and the source could not be located. Investigation by PSO Townsend.

Health and Safety

A Resident Assistant at Beaver Hall reported a female student suffering from a medical emergency. She refused transport by University Ambulance. Investigation by PSO Triveri.

Minors Law/Criminal Mischief

A CATA bus driver reported a male student had become ill while on the bus. The student was found to have consumed beverage alcohol while being less than twenty-one years of age. Investigation by PSO Miller.

Driving Under the Influence

Sgt McClellan stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation that occurred at the intersection of Park Avenue and Bigler Road. The operator of the vehicle was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.

Minor’s Law / Disorderly Conduct

PSO Pollack filed two non-traffic citations at Magisterial District Judge Leslie A. Dutchcot’s office against Scott C. Laino, 3940 Danberry Drive, Easton, PA. Laino was charged with Minor’s Law and Disorderly Conduct. The charges stem from an incident which occurred on 12 September 2009 at Parking Lot #12, North of Park Avenue, University Park, PA.

Drug Law Violation

PSO Ciambotti filed a criminal charge at Magisterial District Judge Jonathan D. Grine’s office against Scott E. Nishida, 9051 Shiloh Road, Woodland, PA. Nishida was charged with the Controlled Substance Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act for possession of a small amount of marijuana. The charge stems from an incident which occurred on 18 September 2009 by Eisenhower Auditorium, University Park, PA.

Public Drunkenness

Lt. Bittner filed a non-traffic citation at Magisterial District Judge Carmine W. Prestia’s, Jr. office against Kenton B. Adriance, 41 Chenango Street, Montrose, PA. Adriance was charged with Public Drunkenness. The charge stems from an incident which occurred on 26 September 2009 in Parking Lot#13, University Park, PA.
