Harassment

A staff member at Redifer Commons reported she has been receiving harassing phone calls from an unknown caller for the past two years. Investigation by PSO Clouse.

Theft of Services

A Parking office employee reported a fraudulent Penn State parking permit being displayed in a privately owned vehicle in Lot 82, near Pennypacker Hall. The owner of the vehicle was identified. Investigation by PSO Rawding.

Theft

A student reported the theft of a text book from Simmons Hall. The theft occurred between 21 September 2009 and 25 September 2009. The total value of the loss is estimated at $107.00. Investigation by PSO Clouse.

Criminal Mischief

A student reported someone damaged his privately owned vehicle while parked at the Holuba Hall Lot. The incident occurred between 1700 hours, 2 October 2009 and 2030 hours, 6 October 2009. The total value of the damage is estimated at $500.00. Investigation by PSO Ball.

PSO reported she received this department’s copy of a Protection From Abuse Order.

Theft of Property, Lost, Mislaid or Delivered by Mistake

A student reported the theft/loss of her cellular telephone from Deike Building. The theft/loss occurred at 1300 hours, 13 October 2009. The total value of the loss is estimated at $200.00 Investigation by PSO Ball.

Accidental Damage

A staff member reported a food cart struck and damaged a privately owned vehicle while parked at the Information Sciences and Technology Building. The total value of the damage is unknown at this time. Investigation by PSO Jones.

Theft of Services

A Parking Office employee reported they located a stolen Penn State parking permit being displayed in a privately owned vehicle in lot Green L near Cedar Building. The owner of the vehicle was identified and the permit was confiscated. Investigation by PSO Ball.

Found Property

A student reported he found a wallet at the intersection of Bigler Road and East Park Avenue. The owner of the wallet was identified. Investigation by Sgt. Tilden.

Criminal Mischief

A staff member reported someone intentionally damaged a book at the Pattee Library. The incident occurred at an unknown time, 13 October 2009. The total value of the loss is estimated at $160.00. Investigation by PSO Aiken.

Suspicious Activity

A student reported an individual acting in a strange manner near Irvin Hall. The area was searched and the individual was not located. Investigation by PSO Rodgers. 14 October 2009

Outside Agency Assist

PSO Rawding assisted State College Police with an investigation on the 100 block of North Gill Street.

Open Lewdness/Public Drunkenness

PSO Jones filed criminal charges with the office of Magisterial District Judge Jonathan D. Grine against Preston J. Queenan, 1009 West Lafayette Street, Norristown, PA. Queenan was charged with one count of Open Lewdness and one count of Public Drunkenness. The charges stem from an incident which occurred on 20 September 2009 in the Hetzel Union Building.

Minor’s Law Violation/Public Drunkenness/Resisting Arrest

PSO Medina filed criminal charges with the Centre County Court of Commons Pleas against a juvenile. The juvenile was charged with one count of Minor’s Law Violation, one count of Public Drunkenness and one count of Resisting Arrest. The charges stem from an incident which occurred on 26 September 2009 at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Sgt. Brien filed criminal charges with the office of Magisterial District Judge Leslie A. Dutchcot against Ingrid G. Covasa, 939 Bayberry Drive, State College, PA. Covasa was charged with one count of Public Drunkenness. The charge stems from an incident which occurred on 9 October 2009 at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Anantha was charged with one count of Public Drunkenness. The charge stems from an incident which occurred on 9 October 2009 at the Bryce Jordan Center.
