Public Drunkenness

Sgt McClellan apprehended a male student at the intersection of Park Avenue and Shortlidge Road that was visibly intoxicated. He was released to a friend and will be referred to Judicial Affairs.

Departmental Information

Detective Brooks reported she received this department’s copy of a Protection from Abuse Order that had been issued on behalf of a student.

Personnel from University Police assisted University Ambulance Service staff at Simmons Hall with a student who suffered a medical emergency. The student subsequently declined transport to a medical facility. Investigation by PSO Aschenbrenner.

Personnel from University Police assisted University Ambulance Service staff at Atherton Hall with a student who suffered a medical emergency. The student was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center. Investigation by PSO Peters.

PSO White reported that at approximately 1500 hours, 17 October 2009, an unattended package was located near Gate C of Beaver Stadium. The package was evaluated and determined to be harmless.

Aggravated Assault/Simple Assault/Recklessly Endangering another Person/Harassment

A Resident Assistant reported one student had assaulted another student in a University Park residence hall. The incident occurred approximately two weeks ago. Srdan Kalaba, 21 Jared Place, Lititz, PA was placed in Centre County Correctional Facility, where he will be arraigned on 22 October 2009. Kalaba was charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering another Person, and Harassment. Investigation by Detective Wagner.

The parents of a student reported he was suffering from an emotional crisis and could not be located. The student was later located an determined not to not be a danger to himself. Investigation by Sgt. Tilden.

Centre County 911 reported a male student suffering from a medical emergency at the Intramural Fields near Intramural Building. He refused treatment or transport from University Ambulance. Investigation by Sgt. McClellan.

Centre County 911 reported a female visitor suffering from a medical emergency at the Nittany Lion Inn. She was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center by University Ambulance for treatment. Investigation by PSO Townsend.
