At 0823 hours, a staff member reported a privately owned vehicle struck and damaged a street sign on Pollock Road near the Grange Building. No injuries resulted and damage was light. Investigation by PSO Ciambotti.
Suspicious Activity
At 0843 hours, a staff member reported an unknown male was attempting to gain access to several lockers at the White Building. A search of the area revealed the male had fled the scene prior to police arrival. Investigation by PSO Ciambotti.
Outside Agency Assist
At 0943 hours, PSO Hoffman reported he assisted the State College Police Department with an investigation at Beaver Stadium. Two students and two visitors were issued citations during the Penn State vs Minnesota Football game on 17 October 2009.
Students Maarten Levert, 904 Shiloh Hill Drive, West Chester, PA and Christopher Pelczar, 103 Southfield Road, Calverton, NY and visitor Kyle M. Mcclinton, 5136 Owls Nest Road, Marion, NY were each issued one citation for Disorderly Conduct and released. Visitor Richard M. Trowbridge, 1330 Morgan Avenue, Williamsport, PA was issued one citation for Public Drunkenness and was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment.

At 0116 hours, a visitor reported a student suffering from an alcohol overdose on a CATA bus near Pattee Library. Janet Lynn Harris, 26 Deer Path Road, Doylestown, PA was found to have consumed beverage alcohol while being less than twenty-one years of age. She was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment by University Ambulance. Investigation by PSO Triveri.

At 0208 hours, PSO Rider apprehended a male student near the Allen Street Gates that had consumed beverage alcohol to the degree that he could not care for himself. Jeffrey Homza, 36 West Walnut Street, Kingston, PA was issued one citation for Public Drunkenness and released to a friend.

At 0243 hours, a student at Tener Hall reported people smoking in a non-designated area outside Tener Hall. The actors had fled the area prior to officers arrival. Investigation by PSO Townsend.
False Identification to Law Enforcement/Minor’s Law Violation
Lt. Delaney filed criminal charges in the office of Magisterial District Judge Leslie Dutchcot against Katelyn Meredith Carpenter, 99 Laurel Lane, Palmyra, PA. Carpenter was charged with False Identification to Law Enforcement and Minor’s Law Violation. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on 9/26/09 in Lot 12 of Beaver Stadium.

Lt. Delaney filed a non-traffic citation in the office of Magisterial District Judge Leslie Dutchcot against Jeremy Ervin, RD 2 Box 261-F, Ulster, PA. Ervin was cited for Public Drunkenness for an incident that occurred on 09/26/09 at Animal Diagnostics Lab.
