Theft

At 0859 hours, an employee reported the theft of $100 from her office in the ASI Building. The incident occurred between 1400 hours and 1500 hours yesterday. Investigation by PSO Aschenbrenner.

Theft

At 0903 hours, an employee reported the theft of $60 from her office in Paterno Library. The incident occurred between 1530 hours and 1600 hours yesterday. Investigation by PSO Peters.

Theft

At 1118 hours, an employee reported the theft of items from the Centre County/Penn State Visitor’s Center. An estimated time frame was not immediately available. Investigation by PSO Peters.

Accidental Damage

At 1211 hours, an employee reported a vehicle damaged an entry control gate at the Nittany Parking Deck. The operator of the vehicle will be contacted. Damage value is estimated at $300. Investigation by PSO Aschenbrenner.

Criminal Mischief

At 1252 hours, an employee reported an unknown person placed graffiti on a structure at the Penn State Golf Course. Investigation by PSO Aschenbrenner.

Criminal Mischief

At 1421 hours, a Transportation Services employee reported he stopped and identified a student willfully damaging parking meters in Lot Yellow F. A damage value estimate was not immediately available. Investigation by PSO Peters.

Departmental Information

At 1505 hours, Detective Wagner reported he received information about a suspicious male at the Hazelton Campus.

Theft

At 1618 hours, a student reported the theft of her wallet and contents from Pattee Library. The theft occurred at 1330 hours, today. Investigation by PSO Peters.

Vehicle Crash

At 1637 hours, a visitor reported their privately owned vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle while it was parked in the Nittany Parking Deck. The vehicle crash occurred between 0815 hours and 1637 hours, today. No injuries were reported and damage was light to the vehicle. Investigation by PSO Peters.

Unsecured Property

At 1652 hours, a parking staff member reported an unsecured vehicle in the parking Lot 43. The vehicle was secured and the owner was notified. Investigation by Sgt. Tilden.

Health and Safety

At 1706 hours, University Police personnel assisted the University Ambulance Service with a student who was having a medical emergency at the Student Health Center. The student was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment. Investigation by Sgt. Tilden.

Community Relations

At 1916 hours, PSO Thomas reported he issued 25 “Don’t get ripped off” card on unattended property at Pattee Library.

Request for Assistance

At 2043 hours, a student reported the theft of a friend’s vehicle from Lot Brown G near North Henderson Building. Further investigation revealed another friend had the vehicle. Investigation by PSO Townsend.

Criminal Mischief

At 2017 hours, a Resident Coordinator reported an unknown person(s) damaged a wall in the stairwell at Packer Hall. The criminal mischief occurred at an unknown time today. Value of the criminal mischief is $50.00. Investigation by PSO Thomas.

Drug Law Violation

At 0003 hours, five male students were apprehended near the Beaver Picnic Pavilion and were found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Investigation by PSO Cover.

Minors Law Violation

At 0148 hours, a female student who had consumed beverage alcohol while being less than twenty-one years of age was apprehended along McKean Road. Katherine Lynch, 4256 Highway 516, Matawan, NJ, was issued a citation for minors law violation and released to a friend. Investigation by PSO Triveri.

Traffic Violation/Driving Under the Influence

At 0203 hours, PSO Thomas stopped a vehicle along College Avenue for a traffic violation. Further investigation revealed the operator to be under the influence of alcohol. The operator was identified and taken into custody.

Minors Law Violation

At 0206 hours, a female student who had consumed beverage alcohol while being less than twenty-one years of age was apprehended along Eisenhower Road. Victoria Mullen, 12475 Cotton Road, Meadville, PA, was issued a citation for a minors law violation and released to a friend. Investigation by PSO Townsend.

Traffic Violation/Driving Under the Influence

At 0203 hours, PSO Rider stopped a vehicle along Calder Alley for a traffic violation. Further investigation revealed the operator to be under the influence of alcohol. The operator was identified and taken into custody.

Public Drunkenness/Minor’s Law Violation

At 0246 hours, a female student who had consumed beverage alcohol while being less than twenty-one years of age was apprehended along Park Avenue. The female was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment of an alcohol overdose. Investigation by PSO Cover. Public Drunkenness/Minor’s Law Violation

At 0246 hours, a male student who had consumed beverage alcohol while being less than twenty-one years of age was apprehended along Park Avenue. Aleksei Kachalov, 6838 Picnic Woods Road, Middletown, MD, was issued a citation for minors law violation and released to a friend. Investigation by PSO Miller.

Disorderly Conduct

At 0409 hours, a staff member reported a male urinating in public near Stone Hall. The male fled the scene prior to police arrival. Investigation by PSO Cover.

DISPOSITION LOG

Minor’s Law Violation

Officer Rider issued a non-traffic citation to William Goode, 5373 Moore St., Philadelphia, PA. Goode was charged with one count of Minor’s Law Violation. The charge stems from an incident which occurred 25 October 2009 in Haller Hall.

Public Drunkenness

Officer Rawding filed criminal charges in the office of Magisterial District Judge Leslie A. Dutchcot against William J. Baltusavich, 371 Tripp St., West Wyoming, PA. Baltusavich was charged with one count of Public Drunkenness. The charge stems from an incident which occurred 17 October 2009 in Beaver Stadium.

Furnishing Alcohol to Minors

Criminal charges are being filed with Magisterial District Justice Jonathan D. Grine, 121 South Pugh Street, State College, PA against the following organizations and individuals:

Alpha Tau Omega, 321 East Fairmount Avenue, State College, PA 16801 will be charged with violations of the Pennsylvania Crimes Code, Title 18, Section 6310.1, Selling or Furnishing liquor or malt or brewed beverages to minors AND of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code, Title 47, section 4-493 Unlawful Acts Relative to Liquor, malt and Brewed Beverage and Licensees for furnishing alcohol to Joseph Dado on September 19th and 20th, 2009.

Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity (FIJI) 319 North Burrowes Road, State College, PA 16801 will be charged with violations of the Pennsylvania Crimes Code, Title 18, Section 6310.1, Selling or Furnishing liquor or malt or brewed beverages to minors AND of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code, Title 47, section 4-493 Unlawful Acts Relative to Liquor, malt and Brewed Beverage and Licensees for furnishing alcohol to Joseph Dado and/or others being less then twenty-one years of age on September 19th and 20th, 2009.

John “Jack” Townsend, 1254 Fir Drive, Latrobe, PA 15650 will be charged with violations of the Pennsylvania Crimes Code, Title 18, Section 6310.1, Selling or Furnishing liquor or malt or brewed beverages to minors AND of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code, Title 47, section 4-493 Unlawful Acts Relative to Liquor, malt and Brewed Beverage and Licensees for furnishing alcohol to Joseph Dado on September 20, 2009.

Jennifer E Clifford, 4270 Bakerstown , Clumerville Road. Gibsonia PA 15044 will be charged with violations of the Pennsylvania Crimes Code, Title 18, Section 6310.1, Selling or Furnishing liquor or malt or brewed beverages to minors AND of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code, Title 47, section 4-493 Unlawful Acts Relative to Liquor, malt and Brewed Beverage and Licensees for furnishing alcohol to Joseph Dado on September 18, 2009.
