Counterfeit

A student attempted to pass a counterfeit $10 bill at Sbarros in the HUB. The student was identified and the counterfeit bill seized. Investigation by PSO White.

Arson

An East Halls Housing employee reported an unknown person damaged a sprinkler head and ceiling tile on the ninth floor of Pinchot Hall. Further investigation revealed the damage may have been the result of arson. Investigation by PSO Peters.

Criminal Mischief

A visitor reported an unknown person(s) damaged a seat at Beaver Stadium. Investigation by PSO Peters.

Disorderly Conduct

A staff member reported a known student was acting disorderly at the Smeal Business Building. The disorderly conduct occurred at 1500 hours, today. Investigation by Sgt. Tilden.

Vehicle Crash

A visitor reported a traffic crash occurred between two privately owned vehicles in Stadium West parking lot. No injuries were reported and damage was light to both vehicles. Investigation by PSO Townsend.

Vehicle Crash (Hit and Run)

A student reported a traffic crash occurred between a privately owned vehicle and an unknown vehicle in Red D parking lot. No injuries were reported and damage was light to the vehicle. Investigation by PSO Townsend.

Disorderly Conduct

A visitor reported an unknown male was being disorderly on Curtin Road near the Bryce Jordan Center. A search of the area revealed the male had fled prior to police arrival. Investigation by Sgt. McClellan.

A visitor reported another visitor made an inappropriate comment towards them. Investigation by Sgt. McClellan.

Lt. Neff reported University Police personnel assisted the Bryce Jordan Centre Staff with security for the Larry the Cable Guy show. There were 2,843 people in attendance.

Lt. Neff reported University Police personnel assisted the Bryce Jordan Center staff with security for the Lady Lions vs IUP Basketball Game. There were 1,206 people in attendance.

Harassment

A student reported she was being harassed by a known female in Porter Hall. Investigation by PSO Rawding.

Liquor Law Violation

A female student who had consumed beverage alcohol while being less than twenty-one years of age was apprehended in Snyder Hall. The female was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment of an alcohol overdose.

Drug Law Violation/Liquor Law Violation

Two male students who had consumed beverage alcohol while being less than twenty-one years of age were apprehended near Tener Hall. Further investigation reveal they were in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Investigation by Lt Delaney.

Sexual Assault

A student reported they were sexually assaulted by a person known to them in the East Halls Complex. Investigation by PSO Rawding.

Liquor Law Violation

A male student who had consumed beverage alcohol while being less than twenty-one years of age was apprehended near McKean Hall. Daniel O’Connor, 45 Wilding Chase, Chagrin Falls, OH, was issued a citation for liquor law violation and released to a friend. Investigation by PSO Triveri.

Liquor Law Violation

A female student who had consumed beverage alcohol while being less than twenty-one years of age was apprehended along Bigler Road. Stacy Cavagnaro, 66 Golden Pheasant, Getzville, NY, was issued a citation for liquor law violation and released to a friend. Investigation by PSO Rider.

PSO Rawding filed criminal charges in the office of Magisterial District Judge Carmine W. Prestia Jr. against Christopher J. Schmied, 9 Pine Rd., Malvern, PA. Schmied was charged with one count of False Identification to Law Enforcement Authorities and one count of Minor’s Law Violation. The charges stem from an incident which occurred 19 September 2009 in McElwain Hall.

PSO Rider filed criminal charges in the office of Magisterial District Judge Leslie A. Dutchcot against Casey W. Cummings, 1009 Waldwick Dr., Pittsburgh, PA. Cummings was charged with one count of Public Drunkenness and one count of Minor’s Law Violation. The charges stem from an incident which occurred 7 November 2009 near the intersection of University Drive and Dauer Drive.
