closeWorkshops set on Marcellus development
The Moshannon Valley Economic Development Partnership has partnered with Penn State to offer five online seminars on the business opportunities related to Marcellus Shale natural gas development.
Beginning 8 a.m. Oct. 14 with “Your Business and Marcellus Shale,” the seminars, held at the Moshannon Valley Enterprise Center, will be geared toward entrepreneurs and small-to medium-sized businesses.
Panelists and presenters will include local businesses, natural gas industry representatives and Penn State experts.
The webinars will be held Oct. 14, 21 and 28 and Nov. 4 and 10.
Registration for the program costs $25.

Graystone honored for growth
Graystone Bank, a division of Graystone Tower Bank, was named the second fastest growing company in central Pennsylvania at an awards breakfast held by the Central Pennsylvania Business Journal.
The listing honors businesses and their contributions to the region.
Qualifying companies are ranked according to their revenue growth over a consecutive three-year period.
Graystone was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Harrisburg.
